Sports: Mostly long distance triathlon and shorter distance running events (half marathon and 10k).  I enjoy hiking and biking just as much.  Actually I will try any sport at least one time.  I enjoy being active.

DOB: seriously?  August 1st and I'm not giving the year!

Occupation: Health Coach.  I help people set personal health goals such as weight loss, reducing their risks for heart disease and diabetes, stress management, tobacco cessation and general fitness.

Where I live and play: Central Phoenix

Favorite workout route: Bike rides--Mummy Mountain/40th Street Hills, Usery Pass, Congress to Prescott.  Running--Squaw Peak trailhead at 32nd and Lincoln/Trail 100.  Pemberton Trail

Favorite race:  Big Kahuna Half Ironman in Santa Cruz, CA; Ironman Couer d'Alene; Ragnar Relay

Role model and why: I see a rol model in everyone I meet.  We all have challenges in life and the fact that we can survive thru it is pretty impressive.

Ideal weekend:  A trip to the mountains to cool off and train in pretty scenery.

Best training tip:  Stick to your training plan and listen to your body when it needs a break

Proudest moment: My 1:40 PR improvement at IMCDA!

Gear I can't live without: Body glide, sunglasses, helmet, sunscreen

Favorite pre-workout/race meal: Pre-workout--eggos, cereal or boost; Pre-race--boost plus, half a banana and oatmeal.

Sport I'd most like to try:  An extended backpacking trip or climbing a huge mountain.

When I'm not riding, (running or swimming) I'm reading, watching TV or hanging iwth my family.
